A simple post on Facebook can sometimes be the difference in you getting a job, you getting fired from a job, getting kicked out of school, and etc. This is why sometimes we need to be careful with what we put out there, and in some cases, the right thing can also do wonders for others.

This is what a man by the name of Colin Ross did when he visited Whitbie’s Fish & Chips in Lethbridge, Alberta and noticed that the shop was empty, and that the owner did not even have enough money to pay himself. He enjoyed the food and the owner’s personality so much that he thought the least he could do was pen a Facebook post to review the restaurant in hopes it would drive in more customers, and sure enough it did.

According to the owner, John McMillan, business went through the roof where 400 people showed up the next day following the Facebook post, and another 500 followed the day after. Speaking to the Calgary Eyeopener (via Huffington Post), “Our business has just gone right through the roof to the point where, you know, we’ve got people waiting an hour and a half to an hour and three quarters for their dinner.”

According to Ross, “The owner was a jem real classy stand up guy so I ask everyone in lethbridge to share this and go support this hard working gentleman he deserves it.” In any case if you want to check out Ross’ full Facebook post, you can check it out below.
