fossil-q54-pilotFossil is a company some of you guys might associate with leather goods such as handbags, backpacks, bracelets, and so on. However the company is also known for their watches, and more recently in 2015, the company also dived into the smartwatch scene with their Fossil Q lineup.

That being said, could we be getting close to seeing another Fossil smartwatch? Turns out we could, thanks to the folks at Ausdroid who have spotted an FCC filing by Fossil which seems to indicate that a new smartwatch could be in the works. According to their findings, the device in question is said to sport a 1.4-inch display, a 320×290 display which means that we can expect another flat tyre design, a 400mAh battery, wireless charging, and Bluetooth connectivity.

Other than that the rest of the specs are anyone’s guess. Assuming that Fossil keeps doing what they have been doing, we’re also probably looking at the return of Android Wear as their operating system of choice, and we could also expect an Intel CPU under the hood. In any case this is just speculation, but either way we’ll have to wait and see. The company made the announcement for their smartwatches back in August 2015, so if they’re on an annual refresh, we probably won’t have to wait too long for the details.
