disney-aladin-platformer
There is a legitimately good reason to start this post off with the expression “only ’90s kids will get this.” Disney created some amazing 16-bit platformer games back then and those who spent a lot of time back in the day playing these games on Super Nintendo Entertainment System and Sega Genesis, well they are about to have a lovely walk down the memory lane. PC game distribution platform GOG has brought back three of Disney’s most popular 16-bit platformers.

GOG has brought back Disney’s Aladdin, The Lion King, and The Jungle Book in all their glory. These three games were created between 1993 and 1994, at that time they were said to feature groundbreaking graphics accompanied by music from the original films.

Back then these games were considered to be some of the best titles for the Sega Genesis and the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, and with good reason. They were quite fun and challenging to play. I have fond memories of spending hours, in which I was supposed to be doing my homework, on these games.

GOG is going to make this trio of 16-bit Disney platforms available for purchase on PC come August 8th. Those who are interested can either purchase them individually for $10 a pop or buy all three in a bundle for $19.98, a 33 percent discount.
