middle earth blu rayPeter Jackson’s Middle Earth movies have been pretty epic and we reckon they’ll definitely go down in history as classics. Granted some might argue that The Hobbit isn’t as good as The Lord of the Rings series, but to each their own. That being said if you’re looking to relive the entire experience, how does a Blu-ray collection sound to you?

If you are interested, then you might be pleased to find out that Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema have recently announced the Middle Earth Blu-ray collection, which as you can see above comes packaged rather nicely. The only downside to this is that it will set you back a whopping $800.

This collection will come with the extended versions of all the movies. Each film will also come with extra material like documentaries that chronicles the movie making process, along with bonus content that will span 30 discs in total. Each Blu-ray disc will also come in a faux leather cover shaped like a book, and a Hobbit-style wooden shelf for you to display them on.

There is also a recreation of the Red Book of Westmarch which includes 100 pages of sketches and artwork from the movie’s concept artists, Alan Lee and John Howe. Safe to say that this is definitely aimed at more hardcore fans and collectors willing to drop a lot of money, but we have to say that it does look very pretty and might be worth quite a lot of money one day.
