Blizzard’s Overwatch has been out for a while now, and in case you’re getting a little bored of the current maps, you can rest assured that these won’t be the only maps available to gamers for the rest of Overwatch’s lifespan. In fact just at Gamescom, Blizzard took the wraps off a new map.

Dubbed Eichenwalde, this is a map that’s like a hybrid between an assault and payload map. Given its name and design, there are some pretty obvious references to a castle in Germany that bears a similar name. Basically the attacking team will have to escort a battering ram and break down the castle’s walls, while the defending players will, well, defend it.

The description reads, “The site of one of the most famous battles during the Omnic Crisis, it was here that the leader of the Crusaders, Balderich von Alder, and a handful of his best soldiers made a last stand against an advancing automaton army. Outnumbered and outgunned, they were ultimately slain during the resulting combat. However, thanks to their valiant efforts, the German military was able to push back the omnic offensive and win the fight.”

According to Blizzard, they claim that this map will be a little different than its previous maps in the sense that it will take advantage of height more so than usual, so players will need to adapt to this and maybe change up some of their strategy. Unfortunately there is no release date for the map yet, but Blizzard does say that it is coming soon.
