mass_effect-andromeda5So far as far as Mass Effect: Andromeda is concerned, we’ve seen trailers and screenshots, but if you were hoping for more gameplay, or maybe even a hands-on demo, gamers have been a bit starved for those. Unfortunately it sounds like Gamecom 2016 will not be changing that as it has been confirmed that the game will be a no-show at the event.

According to the folks at WCCF Tech, they have confirmed with the folks at EA that the upcoming Mass Effect game will not be shown off at Gamescom 2016 which will be taking place in Cologne, Germany next week. This means that gamers who wish to learn more about the game will have no choice but to wait.

However as the website points out, there’s always PAX West in September, and they cited an example in which Bioware showed off Dragon Age: Inquisition at PAX, so maybe the company might skip Gamescom for PAX West instead. There is some speculation that maybe this could hint at a delay of the game’s release, but maybe we’re just getting a little ahead of ourselves.

In any case last we heard, Mass Effect: Andromeda has been pegged for a release in 2017, so as far as we’re concerned there is still time for EA and Bioware to show off more aspects of the game, but just don’t expect it next week.
