overwatch-mei-screenshot-001Blizzard has introduced trial features for pretty much most of its games. Basically it limits players to the number of things they are allowed to do, but at the same time provides them with enough information and experience to decide whether or not they want to purchase the game in full. Unfortunately Blizzard did not provide trial features for Overwatch.

However the good news for Overwatch hopefuls is that Blizzard could be considering introducing trial features soon. This news did not come directly from Blizzard themselves, but rather from NetEase’s president, Li Riqiang. For those unfamiliar, NetEase is Blizzard’s partner in China and helped the company publish the game in the country.

According to Li who spoke during ChinaJoy 2016, he revealed that Blizzard could be considering trial features for the game, but the plans have not been finalized yet. It is unclear if Blizzard will actually introduce this, but it sounds like it is an option that the company is considering in a bid to try and attract more gamers to Overwatch.

We suppose for the price that gamers are paying versus the content they are getting, it doesn’t quite have the same “value” compared to games like World of Warcraft, StarCraft, or Diablo where it is rich in content that you can enjoy by yourself. No word on when this free trial feature will be introduced, but we’ll keep our eyes peeled.
