sony_xperia_xrWe have been hearing word that Sony could be working on a new Xperia handset model number F833X. In fact just last month photos of the handset leaked online after it was discovered that someone had been trying to sell the handset over in Croatia. That being said, if you were after a cleaner set of images, you’re in luck.

A post from @OnLeaks has revealed several new renderings of the handset, which will apparently be called the Sony Xperia XR. Unfortunately the specs of the phone was not revealed, but assuming that the previous handset that was benchmarked is the same handset in the image, we’re looking at a Snapdragon 820 chipset, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage.

It is also said to sport a 5.1-inch Full HD display, a 23MP rear-facing camera and a 13MP front-facing camera. That being said, @OnLeaks has added the dimensions of the phone which are apparently 146.4×71.9×8.1mm. The handset doesn’t look like it is particularly special in terms of design and seems to retain Sony’s design language.

Its Snapdragon 820 also leads us to believe that this could be a flagship phone. In any case Sony has scheduled an IFA press conference for the 1st of September, so check back with us then for the details if there are any to be had.
