On the way same day that T-Mobile announced it was killing data plans for good by offering a single unlimited option to its customers, Sprint came out with its own unlimited data plan, however, it capped video streaming on this plan to 480p like T-Mobile. The carrier has now launched a new unlimited plan for subscribers who are interested in streaming video in HD, this new plan will let them do just that on cellular data.

Sprint is offering Unlimited Freedom Premium to customers who want to stream video, listen to music, and stream games in higher resolution on their mobile device. They will be able to stream video in 1080p+ resolution, HD music at up to 1.5 Mbps and game streaming at up to 8 Mbps.

The carrier is now offering two separate unlimited data plans for customers. Those who are okay with 480p resolution streaming can stick with the $60 per month plan that was announced earlier this month while those who want HD streaming can decide to pay $20 per month extra and get HD streaming on Sprint Unlimited Freedom Premium for $80 per month.

There’s a limited time offer for customers who sign up for Unlimited Freedom. They will get Unlimited Freedom Premium for free through 10/31/16. Customers also get unlimited talk and text on both plans, they are open to all new and existing customers of Sprint.
