tmo offer s7Samsung is expected to officially unveil the Galaxy Note 7 later today. This means that the Galaxy Note 7 will be the company’s latest flagship phone, which also means that the company’s slightly older handsets might no longer be as desirable. The good news is that if you’re not that fussed over specs and features, T-Mobile might have a deal for you.

TmoNews has managed to get their hands on an alleged internal memo. According to the memo, it seems that T-Mobile could be preparing a $200 discount on the Samsung Galaxy S7 and the S7 Edge and the Galaxy Note 5 (last year’s Note handset). However based on the memo, it sounds like this deal is aimed more at new customers as opposed to existing ones as it will require users to port their existing number to the carrier’s network, as well as activate their new phone on a 10GB plan or higher.

It will also require customers to purchase either the Galaxy S7, S7 Edge, or Note 5 on an EIP, and that the $200 discount will be credited back to the customer via monthly installments. This basically means that while technically you are getting $200 off, there are a lot of hoops to jump through and you’ll be spending more upfront.

We guess if you were already thinking about getting a new handset and switching to T-Mobile then this deal might be for you. In any case if the memo is the real deal, this promo is expected to begin on the 3rd of August and will run for a limited time.
