T-Mobile has been disrupting the wireless industry in the United States with its uncarrier moves and the latest shakes up the industry in a big way. I’m guessing someone at Magenta asked CEO John Legere what they should do about data plans and he replied “It’s Simple. We Kill The Data Plan,” or something along the same lines. “The era of the data plan is over,” he declared in a video blog today,” adding that after uncarrier 12 the wireless industry is not going to be the same again.

Legere introduced T-Mobile ONE this morning, it’s described as a radical new take on how to access mobile internet. T-Mobile is going all-in on unlimited with ONE, customers get unlimited talk, text and high speed data without customers ever having to worry about data limits.

T-Mobile ONE keeps things simple. Customers get unlimited everything for a set price. A family of four can get on T-Mobile ONE for $40 per line. The first line costs $70 per month, the second $50 and all additional lines cost $20 per month up to 8 lines with auto pay. Add an additional $5 per line without autopay.

All video streamed from any video site is unlimited on DVD quality (480p). Customers can pay an additional $25 per month to stream unlimited video in HD. Mobile Hotspot data is unlimited as well albeit at 2G speeds. They will also be able to opt for T-Mobile One on any tablet for $20 per month, it’s the only unlimited LTE data offer for tablets in the U.S. right now.

Customers also get other T-Mobile benefits such as Mobile Without Borders, T-Mobile Tuesdays, Simple Global, and more.

T-Mobile ONE will be available for postpaid customers starting September 6th. Prepaid customers will get it later.
