Last week we brought word that Blizzard would be releasing their first audio drama that would be the prequel to the upcoming World of Warcraft: Legion expansion events. Blizzard has in the past explored a variety of formats to bring some backstory and lore to its games, such as animated shorts, comics, and books, but the audio drama is basically a first for the company.

That being said, the good news is that the audio drama has since been released. Titled “The Tomb of Sargeras”, the audio drama was written Robert Brooks and narrated by Steven Pacey. It runs for about 26 minutes and it is part one, meaning that there is more to come. Blizzard’s description of the first part reads, “Gul’dan’s efforts to corrupt the Iron Horde on Draenor have ended in failure. The Burning Legion is giving him one last chance to redeem himself by finding the Tomb of Sargeras… but he is already growing tired of the demons’ tight leash.”

Now for those who have a hard time following the drama on audio, not to worry as it seems that the written version of the audio drama is available as a PDF if you prefer that format. So far it seems that the drama has been well-received based on its comments, but like we said it runs for 26 minutes so maybe you’ll want to make sure you have some free time before checking it out.
