vertu_aster_chevronVertu is a brand that many of you guys associate with luxury smartphones, and yes, it looks like the brand is still around which suggests that despite most of us thinking that their phones tend to be underpowered and overpriced, there is a demand for it, and the company has taken the wraps off its latest offering: the Vertu Aster Chevron.

The handset will feature a 4.7-inch Full HD display, a bit of a bummer considering QHD has become the standard, however the upside is that it will sport a sapphire crystal cover. Under the hood, there’s really not much to shout about either as we are looking at a Snapdragon 801, and yes, you read that right.

It will also come with 2GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, a 2,275mAh battery, and it will run on Android 5.1 Lollipop. Its camera is rather interesting though as it packs a 13MP sensor with Hasselblad’s branding. The phones are also made of grade 5 titanium and will also feature “highly resilient Italian fabric”.

All of which is meant to justify its price tag of $4,200. If the Vertu Aster Chevron somehow appeals to you, you will be able to order one for yourself from Vertu’s website.
