apple-watch-2-white-ceramic-2When it comes to Apple products, it’s safe to say that none of them move as many units and as quickly as the iPhone. However with the Apple Watch Series 2’s pre-orders, it looks like the iPhone might have a competitor. Within hours of pre-orders going live, we have started to see various models have their shipping estimates slip to 2-3 weeks, October, and November.

This is why it doesn’t come as a surprise to learn that Best Buy has sent out emails to customers to inform them that some of their orders might be delayed. According to the email, Best Buy is telling customers that the new street date for the Apple Watch Series 2 is set for the 28th of September, versus the 16th of September which is what Apple had announced.

Note that this only applies to those who purchased the watch from Best Buy, so if you pre-ordered the Apple Watch Series 2 from Apple’s website, you won’t have to concern yourself with this date. To compensate customers for the extra 2 weeks-ish that they have to wait, Best Buy will also be giving customers a $50 promotional code to be used on their next purchase.

For those of you who’d rather not wait, you’ll have to try your luck at one of Apple’s Retail Stores on the 16th of September to see if they have the model/band combination you want available on the day.
