A lot of Call of Duty related news has come out of the Call of Duty XP fan event in Los Angeles. That was to be expected. Infinity Ward unveiled the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare multiplayer experience during this event and the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered multiplayer trailer was also released there. Activision also announced that eventually CoD: Modern Warfare Remastered is going to get all 16 default multiplayer maps from the original title.

Activision confirmed at the fan event that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is going to be launched with ten multiplayer maps that were absolute favorites of the community. Maps include Bog, Overgrown, Backlot, and Crossfire among others. The six remaining maps will be released in December this year.

Players won’t have to purchase the six additional maps as they will be released for free in December for everyone who already owns Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered. However, buying the remastered version of this popular CoD game isn’t that straightforward.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is bundled with certain special edition versions of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. This means that you absolutely must buy the upcoming CoD title in order to play the remastered version of Modern Warfare. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is going to be released on November 4th, 2016.
