When building your own PC, as fun as it is to pick out the CPU, GPU, chassis, monitor, keyboard, and etc., there is one important function that you need to pay attention to, and that is cooling. There are a couple of cooling options available out there, such as liquid cooling, or the more traditional fan cooling.

If you’re opting for fan cooling, you might be interested in checking out Enermax’s latest offering in form of the D.F. Vegas fans. What makes these fans so special is the fact that they can clean themselves. Anyone with a PC knows that dust buildup is inevitable which is why PC cases with removable dust filters are generally preferred as it makes cleanup a breeze.

However fans do get dusty and if you’re the sort that prefers a low upkeep, the D.F. Vegas fans can clean themselves through a rather simple method, which is by spinning the other way around. This will occur when you start your computer or wake it up, in which for a short period of time, they will spin themselves in the opposite direction they normally spin at high speed, which in turn shakes off any dust that might have settled on it.

However the fan only can clean itself, meaning that any dust collected inside the case, on your motherboard, GPU, and etc. is a different story, but we guess if it means one less component you’ll have to dust off, why not, right? For more details head on over to Enermax’s website.
