There are so many cameras to choose from that sometimes it’s hard to decide what you should bring on a trip. However in 2015, National Geographic declared that the Fujifilm X100T was among the top 10 best travel cameras, which should say a lot. However for those who are still on the fence, time could be running out.
It has been noted that the Fujifilm X100T has recently been marked as discontinued, meaning that any stock that retailers have right now are pretty much the only units left, and once that’s gone, you’ll never be able to get your hands on the camera again. However the good news is that its successor could be on its way in the form of the X100F.
Fuji Rumors claims that the X100F was originally meant to be shown off at Photokina 2016, but it has since been pushed to 2017 due to the Kumamoto earthquake which has affected production of the sensors, thus forcing Fujifilm to delay the launch. We’re not sure what kind of specs or features the X100F will sport that will, but in 2015 there were rumors that we can expect a new lens.
Right now the X100T features a 23mm f/2.0 lens which has been the case for all of the models to date, and for the most part it is a decent focal length with an aperture wide enough for some decent depth of field, so we’re not sure what direction Fujifilm could be headed for the X100F, but we guess we’ll have to wait and see.
