Google has teamed up with one of the hottest services on the market to push its mobile payments service, Android Pay. The company today announced that users can get 50 percent discount on their Uber rides as long as they choose to pay for that ride using Android Pay. This promotion is good until October 15th so there’s plenty of time for anyone to take Uber for a spin even if they don’t regularly use this ride-sharing service or have never used it before.
This 50 percent off on Uber rides promotion is valid for up to ten rides with the only prerequisite being that you pay using Apple Pay. However, there is a caveat you should keep in mind before you jump in an Uber.
Under this promotion, the 50 percent discount has been capped at $5. What this means is that up can essentially save $5 on up to ten rides before October 15th, so the most you can save from this promotion is $50. If you tend to take short trips frequently then this will certainly be very appealing.
To take advantage of this promotion, fire up the Uber app and add Android Pay as a payment option inside the app. Make sure that you select Android Pay in the confirmation screen while requesting a ride, there’s no need to apply any additional codes to get this discount.
