A new rumor suggests that Google is working on a new Pixel notebook which is going to be released in the third quarter of next year. The project is apparently known as “Bison” internally at Google and is often referred to as the Pixel 3. This is said to be the first brand new device from Google which showcases the rumored Andromeda operating system which is reportedly going to combine Android and Chrome OS.

The Pixel 3 project is said to be completely different from Google’s current initiatives to bring Android apps to Chromebooks. The rumor claims that this new notebook is going to be marketed as a completely new product and that it won’t feature the Chromebook branding.

It’s claimed that the Pixel 3 is going to be an ultra-thin laptop that features a 12.3 inch display. Google may include a tablet mode in it as well which will make it a laptap/tablet hybrid device.

The Pixel 3 may be powered by an Intel m3 or i5 Core processor with up to 128GB of storage and perhaps 16GB of RAM. Expected specifications also include a fingerprint scanner, two USB Type-C ports, a 3.5mm headphone jack, stereo speakers, support for a stylus, and more. It is claimed that the specifications are very much subject to change.

Prices for this notebook are expected to start at $799 with retail availability pegged for Q3 2017. Google has obviously not confirmed anything about this device as yet but we’re bound to hear more about it in the coming months through unofficial sources.
