htc-desire-10Several days ago, HTC announced their new Desire 10 smartphones, the Desire 10 Lifestyle and the Desire 10 Pro. It was unclear at that time if the phones would be making its way stateside as there was no mention then, but it looks like we’ve got our answer and it seems like it is bad news for US customers.

When asked to comment about the phone’s availability in the Canada, a HTC spokesperson told the folks at MobileSyrup, “The Desire 10 announcement is currently focused on global markets outside of the U.S. and Canada.” What this means is that the handset will not be arriving in either the US or Canada.

However from the wording, it doesn’t sound like it might be a permanent thing. Perhaps at a later date HTC could bring the phones to the US and/or Canada. After all we have seen this happen, like with the HTC Desire 530 that was released stateside after having been announced back in February earlier this year.

In any case this is just speculation on our part, and unfortunately we have no idea when this might happen, or if it might happen at all so for now if you do want to get your hands on the Desire 10 Lifestyle or the Desire 10 Pro, you will most probably have to turn to grey market imports.
