iphone-7-displayYesterday T-Mobile announced the iPhone 7 trade-in plan. Shortly after, the folks at Sprint and AT&T followed suit, leaving Verizon as the only major carrier who had yet to announce anything. The good news for Verizon customers is that it looks like the carrier has decided to hop on board the trade-in bandwagon.

In an announcement by the carrier, it looks like they will be offering a trade-in program of their own. “Want a new iPhone 7 at no cost? For a limited time, beginning Friday, September 9, at 12:01 a.m. PST, Verizon is offering iPhone 7 32 GB at no cost after you trade in an iPhone 6, 6 Plus, 6s or 6s Plus. Have an iPhone 5, 5c, 5s or SE? Get up to $400 towards the purchase of your iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus. Or trade in your Android or iPhone 4 device for up to $300 in trade-in value.”

Basically if your iPhone is of good working condition, you could almost get a free iPhone 7, although we reckon it’ll probably be quite hard to hit the $650 trade-in value, but hey, if you were planning on getting the phone anyway, we guess knocking off a few hundred bucks isn’t a bad thing, right?

The only downside to these trade-in programs is that they pretty much lock you into a new contract with the carrier, but if you were planning to do so anyway then we guess it’s not really a big deal. For more details, hit up Verizon’s website. In the meantime, the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus are currently available for pre-order.
