Fans of the Mafia franchise have long been waiting for a new game. 2K Games finally confirmed earlier this year that Mafia 3 was indeed in the pipeline and that it would be released in 2016. We’re now less than a month away from Mafia 3’s release and today 2K Games has posted a fairly detailed gameplay video online which provides us with a great in-depth look at Mafia 3.

This video was first shown by 2K Games to some at Gamescom and the Tokyo Game Show. It has now been posted on YouTube for all to appreciate.

We can see the main character Lincoln Clay eliminate one of the bad guys in this 16 minute video which also features plenty of shooting, driving, and combat sequences. All of it looks incredibly intense and amazing which is only going to excite fans more about this title.

2K Games has gradually been sharing more information about this game as the release draws near with each passing day. It recently talked about the post-launch DLC plans for Mafia 3, detailing the free content as well as the paid expansions which will be available after launch.

Mafia 3 is going to be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on October 7th. A mobile version called Mafia 3: Rivals is going to be released for iOS and Android on the same day as well.
