microsoft-news-proMicrosoft might not necessarily have had the same success on mobile compared to Apple and Google, but it seems that they might have found the next best thing: software. In the past few years, we’re starting to see Microsoft start to wiggle their way onto iOS and Android devices, such as with their Office apps, and Android with their lockscreens.

Now it seems that Microsoft has released a new app for Android in the form of News Pro. This is Microsoft’s attempt at creating a news app, so if you enjoy staying up to date with the latest news, Microsoft’s News Pro is one of many apps that you can check out, although we guess there are some features that could make it more appealing.

For starters it seems to be capable of leveraging information from your Facebook and LinkedIn accounts if you sign in from them. This means that News Pro will be able to learn what you like from your social media accounts, thus saving you time from having to teach the platform from scratch. There will also be the ability to share news and opinions with your friends in groups, forums, and message boards.

Given that the app is also always learning, it will eventually figure your preferences out and will be able to deliver on content that you care about. Like we said, News Pro is just one of many apps out there, but if you’re interested in taking it for a spin, hit up the Google Play Store for the download.
