google_pixelGoogle is expected to unveil their new Pixel smartphones come 4th of October. We have seen mock ups of the phone before that were created based on information given, and now thanks to a report on VentureBeat, a new rendering has surfaced of that of the Google Pixel, the smaller model of the two devices.

To be fair, both phones are said to be more or less identical in terms of design, save for the display size in which the Pixel XL will sport a 5.5-inch display, while the Google Pixel (the handset pictured on the right) will have a 5-inch display. Their display resolutions are also supposed to be different, with the Pixel featuring a Full HD display, while the Pixel XL will come with QHD display.

However other than that, under the hood they are both expected to be similar-ish, kind of like how the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus are more or less similar in terms of specs and design, save for a couple of features. The Google Pixel phones are also supposed to represent a shift from the Nexus branding. They are also rumored to come with their own exclusive launcher and there will be features that might be exclusive to the Pixel phones.

This would be a first for Google whose Nexus devices have typically come loaded with stock Android. In any case we guess more will be revealed on the 4th of October, so check back with us then if you’d like to find out the details.
