note 7 explodeAs far as publicized cases of exploding Galaxy Note 7 handsets are concerned, we have heard a couple of reports so far, and it looks like we have another one on our hands that could potentially be the most expensive case to date. According to the latest report from Reddit, one man from Australia claims his Galaxy Note 7 exploded while he was on a business trip.

It exploded while he was still sleeping and while he was in a hotel, with the explosion said to have caused close to $1,400 in damages. According to the report, “My brand new Note 7 exploded this morning while I was still asleep, it was plugged in and charging. Phone completely fried, I can’t eject the sim tray to retrieved my sim or the SD card. I was using original charger and cable if you are wondering. Charred the hotel room bed sheet and the carpet when I whacked it down to the floor, burnt one of my finger while doing that too.”

He then claims to have gone to a Samsung store who gave me a loaner device while they take care of the issue. He also claims that the company offered to take care of the hotel damages that he incurred as a result of the explosion. In case you didn’t know, Samsung has issued a global recall for the handsets.

The company claims that they have received about 30+ reports so far of phones exploding, so if you do own the Galaxy Note 7, you should probably return it to the store that you bought it from. So far we have heard that pretty much all stores are offering full refunds so you won’t have to worry about it.
