galaxy-note-7-s-pen_02-tipWith Samsung pretty much recalling all the Galaxy Note 7 handsets that they have sold and those are they haven’t sold, some of you guys might be wondering when you will be able to get your hands on the phone, assuming that you want to. The good news is that it looks like sales are expected to resume on the 28th of September.

However we should point out that sales of the phone will resume on the 28th of September in South Korea, Samsung’s home country. It is unclear if this 28th of September date will apply to other countries that Samsung operates in, such as the US, but we wouldn’t be surprised if the dates were to be closely lined up.

Replacement units for the Note 7 are expected to be available on the 21st of September, so customers affected the handsets should be able to get their replacement units around that time, assuming that they haven’t outright asked for a refund or exchanged for the Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge.

It does make sense that Samsung would want to prioritize customers affected by the problem before concentrating on new sales. In any case we’ll keep our eyes peeled to see if Note 7 availability in the US will differ from that of South Korea, so check back with us later for updates.
