Capcom’s Resident Evil 7 looks amazing, not just in terms of graphics, but also in terms of the overall tone of the game which is very different from other Resident Evil titles. Some have even suggested that Capcom is trying to replicate the feel of the the cancelled Konami Silent Hill title, which we’re totally in favor of.

That being said, if you’re still on the fence as to whether you should get the game, Capcom has announced that they will be updating the Resident Evil 7 demo in the form of the “Twilight” update. According to Sony, “The update will be available starting tomorrow, September 15th. That’s not all – this demo will be available for every PlayStation 4 user, meaning that PlayStation Plus is no longer required to gain access to the plantation house and dig in to [sic] the mansion’s mysteries.”

In addition to the updated demo, Capcom also announced that the Digital Deluxe version of the game will now be priced at $89.99, versus the $79.99 from before. Before you get upset by this, Capcom claims that the price hike is because they’ll be adding a new story episode, so essentially you’ll be getting extra content to justify the price increase.

For gamers who already pre-ordered the game, Capcom is generous enough to waive the price difference and there will be no action required on your part. In the meantime if you have a few minutes to spare, you can check out the demo in the video above. Resident Evil 7 is set for a release on the 24th of January, 2017 on the PS4, PS4 Pro, Xbox One, and PC.
