galaxy_a8_leakWhile Samsung might be known for their Galaxy S and Galaxy Note lineup, the company has plenty of other devices in their portfolio as well. For example the company has the Galaxy A series which sports a more luxurious build than Samsung’s other mid-range phones, but comes with an affordable price tag.

That being said, it looks like Samsung could have a new Galaxy A phone in the works. Thanks to @OnLeaks (via CNET), a series of renderings of the 2016 Galaxy A8 smartphone have been leaked. From what we can tell, it seems that these renderings might be more of a mockup rather than actual renderings leaked from Samsung, but either way they’re supposed to depict the actual handset.

From what we can tell, Samsung appears to be keeping the metal and glass build that helped make the Galaxy A series standout. As for specs, not much is known but Android Authority has suggested that we could be looking at a 5.7-inch display with a Full HD resolution. It is also said to have 3GB of RAM which would be an upgrade over last year’s model with 2GB.

The Galaxy A8 is also apparently not the only new handset Samsung has in the works. A recent sighting on the benchmarks revealed that there is a 2017 model of the Galaxy A3 being developed as well, but until Samsung makes it official, take it with a grain of salt.
