galaxy-tab-e-samsungFor those who might be shopping around for a possible mid-range tablet, you might be interested to learn that Samsung could have a new device in the works. This is according to a recent Geekbench sighting in which a certain Samsung SM-T587P was spotted, which some have taken to be part of the Galaxy Tab E series.

Given that the Galaxy Tab E’s previous tablets also feature similar model numbers, we guess it’s not really a stretch. That being said, what can we expect in terms of hardware? Unfortunately not much was revealed in its benchmarks, save for its processor which appears to be of the Snapdragon 625 variety, which has us believing that we’re either looking at a low-mid range device.

There is no word on RAM or display size, but given that previous generations did come with 1.5GB of RAM, we guess it wouldn’t be a stretch to think that Samsung would at least upgrade it to 2GB, or maybe even maintain it at 1.5GB which would kind of be a pity. It also appears to be running on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

There is no telling when Samsung will launch the device, or if it will find its way stateside or if it could end up being region specific, but either way we will definitely be keeping our eyes peeled so check back with us in the future for the details.
