When Samsung confirmed the global recall of the Galaxy Note 7 it said that replacement inventory will be provided within two weeks. It has only been a few days since the recall was confirmed and since then multiple reports of the handset exploding have come in. The Federal Aviation Administration recently issued a warning to passengers, cautioning them to not use the Galaxy Note 7 on airplanes. Following the FAA’s warning, Samsung has said that it’s expediting shipments of the safe Galaxy Note 7 units.

Samsung is going to replace each and every Galaxy Note 7 unit that it has shipped since the handset was released last month. It’s going to provide replacement inventory through its carrier and retail partners so customers have to get in touch with where they bought their handset from in order to take part in the exchange program.

Customers in the United States have another option. They can turn their Galaxy Note 7 in and immediately get a Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 Edge. Samsung promises that they will be refunded the difference between the price of both handsets right there and then.

In a statement posted on its website, Samsung says that it’s aware of the FAA’s warning and that it’s now going to expedite new shipments of the Galaxy Note 7 starting this week to “alleviate any safety concerns and reduce any inconvenience for our customers.”

For precise information about the availability of replacement inventory, get in touch with the retailer or carrier you bought your Galaxy Note 7 from.
