ben-affleck-batmanSo maybe Batman V Superman and Suicide Squad didn’t exactly live up to the hype, but DC still has a ton of movies in the works so we guess there are still plenty of chances for them to right the ship. One of those movies includes a solo Batman film starring none other than Ben Affleck, but the question is, when will it be released?

So far the folks at Warner Bros. have been right tight-lipped about its release date, but now thanks to Time Warner’s CEO Jeff Bewkes, we might have a rough time frame to look forward to. Speaking at the Goldman Sachs Communacopia (via the Suicide Squad Cast), Bewkes was quoted as saying, “Ben announced a Batman movie [that] he’s going to direct, star, write for – I think it’s a year and a half out.”

Unfortunately his wording is rather vague as it could mean that we could be waiting for 1.5 years from it beginning production, or we could be waiting 1.5 years before it is released. Last we checked, Affleck will be starring in Justice League which is set for a release in 2017, and it is currently still in the process of being filmed, meaning that Affleck’s plate is rather full at the moment.

In any case whether it be 1.5 years away from release or production, we still have a bit of waiting to do, so it remains to be seen if it will be a short wait or a long one, but we’ll definitely keep our eyes peeled for it.
