Last week, Sony unveiled two updated PlayStation 4 consoles. If you’re a fan of its gaming machines then it’s quite possible that you might be enticed to spend your money on at least one of the new consoles. You might be wondering how you would transfer data from your existing PlayStation 4 to a new one. Sony knows that this is something that users will be concerned with and it has made it very easy to transfer data between two PS4 consoles.

The company has now officially unveiled the PlayStation 4 Slim which is basically a thinner and lighter version of the existing console as well as the PlayStation 4 Pro, which features more power and brings the power required for 4K gaming.

Sony is rolling out a new software feature in the upcoming firmware version 4.0 update for the PlayStation 4. The new feature will make it very easy for users to effortlessly transfer data between two consoles.

Transferring data between two PS4 consoles will basically be as easy as hooking them up with an Ethernet cable. Both consoles have to be on system software version 4.0 or higher and the same PlayStation Network needs to be signed into both systems for this to work. This will enable users to transfer games, saved data, screenshots, videos, system settings, and more from one PS4 to the other.
