sprint_iphone_trade_inEarlier today we reported that T-Mobile had announced an iPhone 7 trade-in program, where if you owned the iPhone 6 or better, you could trade in your old iPhone for the brand new iPhone 7 and if you’re lucky, you could pretty much get the iPhone 7 for free in terms of your trade-in value.

Unsurprisingly it looks like T-Mobile’s competitors aren’t taking this lying down as both Sprint and AT&T have announced similar trade-in programs. In Sprint’s case, it is pretty much the same as T-Mobile’s program, with the main difference being that it is also open to Samsung Galaxy S7/S7 Edge owners, meaning that if you’re looking to make the switch to iOS, you’re more than welcome to take advantage of this promotion.

As for AT&T, it is a bit more restrictive. For starters customers are required to be an existing DirecTV or AT&T U-verse customers, and you will either have to add a new line to your account or port in your number from another carrier. According to AT&T, “Looking for another way to bring your number to our network? We’ve got you covered. To help you switch, we’ll give you up to $650 in credits when you trade-in your current smartphone and buy a new one on AT&T Next.”

AT&T does not mention the iPhone 7 specifically but we don’t see why the credit can’t be applied all the same. Verizon has yet to respond with an offer of their own, but we wouldn’t be surprised if they were to announce something similar in the near future. In the meantime the iPhone 7 & 7 Plus pre-orders are expected to go live on the 9th of September and will be available for purchase on the 16th.
