T-Mobile today announced that it’s extending its summer travel bonus for international data usage. The travel bonus is also being expanded to new markets. T-Mobile has confirmed today that starting October 1st, its customers will be able to use unlimited high speed unlimited data throughout South America as well as 18 countries across Europe until 2017. This offer enables postpaid customers to get the fastest available data speeds of up to 4G LTE at no additional cost when they are roaming in supported countries.

This T-Mobile benefit is available to all postpaid customers by default. They don’t have to fill any forms or sign up for anything. Their T-Mobile phone will work abroad just like it does at home.

The carrier first gave postpaid customers free data throughout Europe this summer and then expanded it to Brazil during the Olympic and Paralympic games. Magenta says that customers took full advantage of this offer, using 3x more data this July and August than they did in the previous year.

Magenta is keeping the summer travel season alive by extending the free unlimited data offer through the end of this year in all of South America as well as 19 European countries. The full list of supported countries is up on T-Mobile’s website.
