The-Witcher-3
Sony recently unveiled the PlayStation 4 Pro. It’s a more powerful version of the console it released in 2013 with features like 4K gaming. Several existing games will be upgraded to take advantage of the additional performance that the refreshed console offers, but CD Projekt Red is not going to spend time developing a PS4 Pro upgrade for The Witcher 3. It has confirmed that The Witcher 3 PS4 Pro upgrade is not being developed.

The developer has confirmed that it’s not interested in upgrading The Witcher 3 for PlayStation 4 Pro simply because it would rather spend the time and resources working on future projects instead of polishing an old one.

So instead of upgrading The Witcher 3 from a full HD game into a 4K one on the PS4 Pro, CD Projekt Red is going to fully focus on Cyberpunk 2077 and Gwent standalone game. PC gamers need not worry as The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt already supports 4K gaming on their preferred platform.

Even though the game does provide 4K gaming support on PC this doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s going to be easy to do that for PlayStation 4 Pro has well. The developer will have to divert significant resources to the effort and it simply doesn’t see the value in that.

It may not seem like much, but The Witcher 3 fans can at least be grateful that the developer is not keeping the matter in limbo, it has taken a definite stand as far as PS4 Pro upgrade for this game is concerned.
