Amazon continues to provide more value for money to members of its Prime program by giving them more incentives. The latest incentive that members of the company’s $99 per year program are getting is called Amazon Prime Reading. Simply put, Amazon Prime members in the United States are getting free ebooks. The company says that they will have access to “over a thousand popular books” for free, including popular titles like Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone and The Man In The High Castle, which also happens to be an Amazon Video original series.

Amazon Prime Reading is only limited to Prime members in the United States so this incentive won’t be available to members in other countries. This incentive is a bit different from the Kindle Owner’s Lending Library in that the ebooks can be read on any device there’s a Kindle app available for.

This new Amazon Prime incentive isn’t just limited to ebooks. Members will also get some magazines for free, including but not limited to National Geographic Traveler, Popular Mechanics, and Sports Illustrated. Even comics like Transformers are included.

Prime members already get quite a lot of incentives such as free two-day shipping on millions of items, access to Amazon’s video and music streaming services, free cloud storage, and a lot more. Free ebooks, even though the collection leaves much to be desired, will certainly be a welcome addition.
