Amazon’s Prime service used to be just a way that customers could pay an annual subscription to ensure that their purchases were delivered in a timely manner. However over the years, Amazon has done quite a bit to help make the service more compelling and attractive by introducing all kinds of features.

One of those features is Prime Photos that lets users store their photos online, and recently Amazon has introduced a new feature called Family Vault. As its name suggests, this feature of Prime Photos basically lets you share your photo storage with friends and family members. Users will be able to invite up to five people to join their account and upload as many photos as they like.

The storage service can even be used for other files, although that won’t be unlimited and there will be a 5GB cap introduced across all the five accounts so as to prevent abuse. According to David Nenke, Director of Prime Photos at Amazon, “Prime members love the benefit of unlimited photo storage but often struggle to collect and organize photos across multiple devices and accounts into a single, shareable archive. We launched the Family Vault to make it easy for family members to safely store and share all their favorite moments.”

If you are a Prime subscriber then this feature should already be live for you, so do check it out if you are interested in it.
