While many expressed their skepticism about Ben Affleck portraying Batman, especially following Christian Bale’s performance, Affleck seemed to have proved everyone wrong. Granted Batman V Superman did not live up to the hype, if there was one thing that many agreed on would be on how well Affleck came off playing Batman.
Now you guys probably have heard that there is a solo Batman movie in the works, and for those wondering about the name of the movie, Affleck recently revealed that it will simply be called “The Batman”, which is interesting as he revealed this nugget of information while promoting his new film, “The Accountant” (we’re seeing a pattern here).
Speaking to the Associated Press, Affleck was quoted as saying, “The movie I think is going to be called The Batman. At least that’s what we’re going with right now. I might change it… That’s about all I got right now.” At the moment there is not much known about the upcoming solo Batman movie.
Affleck said that he is in the process of writing the script and last we heard, a potential release for the movie could be in the next 1.5 years or so. Either way we still have quite a bit of waiting to do, so don’t hold your breath just yet.
