galaxy-note-7-s-pen_02-tipAs you might have heard by now, many airline companies and governments around the world have banned the Galaxy Note 7 from being brought onboard flights. Oddly enough if there is one country that has yet to ban the Note 7, it would be China, or at least until now where the country’s Civil Aviation Administration will officially ban the phone starting October 27.

Now we say it’s odd that China was not quick to ban the phone because if you might recall, China is none too happy about the way Samsung handled the recall. State media had called Samsung “arrogant” in the way they handled the situation, in which they felt that they were discriminated compared to the other markets Samsung operates in.

This was because Samsung had initially reassured China that the Note 7 handsets sold in the country weren’t affected by the problem because at that time, it was largely assumed that the Note 7’s problems were due to the battery made by Samsung SDI, and the Note 7 phones in China had their batteries made by another country.

However despite that, it eventually led to phones being recalled all the same. In any case it looks like the ban will be coming into effect tomorrow which means that if you still haven’t exchanged/returned your Note 7 phone yet, you might run into some problems at the airport tomorrow.
