google_pixel_phonesIf you’re thinking of getting yourself a Google Pixel phone but you can’t, don’t worry because you’re not alone, and it seems that Google themselves did not think it would be this much of a problem as the company has since announced that the demand for the new Pixel phones has exceeded their own expectations.

According to a statement from Google, “We’re thrilled to see the excitement for our new Pixel phones, and frankly pre-order demand has exceeded our expectations. We’re working to restock our inventory as soon as possible.” Of course this is a good thing especially since the Pixel phones represent a new direction and strategy that Google will be employing, in which the Nexus lineup is effectively dead and they’re trying out certain things like giving the Pixel phones exclusive Android features.

That being said, the Pixel phone’s availability seems to quite hard to come by even at Verizon where ahead of the phone going on sale, the carrier announced that the 128GB Pixel XL models were already out of stock in their stores. If the Pixel phones are something you are interested in, you should probably place your orders now.

Granted there is still quite a bit of waiting you’ll have to do, but at least you’ll be somewhere in the queue as opposed to being at the end of it.
