Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy movie was released in 2014 and proved to be a surprising hit. While the comic series might not be as mainstream compared to other Marvel franchises like Spider-man, Captain America, Iron Man, X-Men, and the Avengers, it does have a pretty loyal following and the movie probably helped to expand that.

So safe to say that many, including ourselves, are excited to see what the sequel will bring to the table. The good news is that the wait will be coming to an end, thanks to a teaser trailer that Marvel released for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. The teaser doesn’t really tell us what we might be able to expect in terms of a storyline, but if anything it does seem to show that the sequel is retaining the same humor and lightheartedness as the first.

The sequel is also expected to introduce Peter Quill’s (Chris Pratt) father who will be played by Kurt Russell, and who will be assuming the role of Ego, a cosmic being/planet in the comics. The movie will also see the return of the cast such as Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer, Vin Diesel as Groot, and Bradley Cooper as Rocket.

There will also be some familiar faces from the previous movie like Michael Rooker as Yondu Udonta, and Karen Gillan who will reprise her role as Nebula and who will apparently be joining the Guardians in the second movie. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is expected to be released come 5th of May, 2017.
