Hearthstone can be enjoyed whether you are a casual player or if you are a competitive player. Now for competitive players, from time to time Hearthstone tournaments are held around the world. However if you’d rather not leave the comfort of your own home, not to worry as Blizzard has announced a new feature.

Dubbed Heroic Tavern Brawl, this new feature of Hearthstone is basically an expansion of the Tavern Brawl experience, although there is a catch and that is players will actually need to pay money to take part in it. Priced at $9.99 or 1,000 gold, it is clear that Blizzard is aiming this particular feature at the more serious players.

According to Blizzard, “Heroic Brawl will challenge even Hearthstone’s most experienced players as they vie for glory and in-game rewards! Participants will create a Standard deck from their existing card pool and lock it in before their first Heroic Brawl match. No changes can be made to your Heroic Brawl deck once you’ve locked it in, so be sure to do a bit of testing before you finalize your deck.”

Unfortunately there are no cash prizes, but winners can look forward to prizes such as 50 packs, gold, Arcane Dust (used to craft new cards), and golden Legendaries. To learn more about the Heroic Tavern Brawl mode, check out the video above for the details.
