htc-oceanA few weeks ago, a video surfaced which was allegedly that of a concept phone that HTC had been working on. However the rumors suggested that the phone was merely a concept and nothing more, but a new rumor suggested that the phone was more than that, and it is currently in the works.

Now in the past concept phones have sometimes gotten mixed up with the real thing, but a recent tweet by Evan Blass seemed to have “confirmed” that the HTC Ocean series of smartphones is real, and that they are alive and well. Blass’ tweet was in response to a question by another Twitter user who wanted to confirm if the video that surfaced was merely a concept.

Unfortunately other than confirming the device’s existence, Blass did not have further details to share, such as its specs. This means that we’re still pretty much in the dark as to what kind of hardware the HTC Ocean series could be packing under its hood. Could these devices be HTC’s new flagships for 2017?

Or could they be like the HTC Desire phones which tend to be more of the mid-range variety? In any case we expect more details to surface at a later date, if there are any to be had so check back with us in the future for more updates.
