General Motors is a company that needs no introduction. Earlier this year it announced a $500 million investment in ride-sharing service Lyft which will also see the two companies work on self-driving cars. GM has already been facilitating Lyft drivers when it comes to cars and the company has now said that Lyft drivers will be among the first to receive Chevrolet’s first proper electric car.

The Bolt is Chevrolet’s first proper all-electric car. GM has claimed that it’s going to provide owners with a range of 238 miles on a single charge. That’s certainly going to make it a compelling choice for customers who are in the market for an affordable all-electric car. GM recently confirmed the Chevy Bolt’s price as well.

Chevy Bolt is viewed as a rival to the Tesla Model 3 which was also unveiled earlier this year. Tesla is supposed to go through with Part 2 of the Model 3 unveil later this year, while the mass-market all-electric car may not be available before late next year.

According to a report, Lyft drivers will be among the very first people to get their hands on the Chevrolet Bolt as it starts to roll off the production line. An undetermined number of Bolt customers who paid for it in advance are also said to receive it first when the car becomes available by the end of this year.
