macbook_pro_delaySo earlier today Apple announced their new MacBook Pro laptops and said that save for the 13-inch model, the larger 15-inch model should be available in 2-3 weeks. It turns out that Apple might have a lot of customers who have been waiting for this upgrade because according to the latest shipping estimates, it has since slipped to 3-4 weeks.

This slip in shipping estimates applies to pretty much applies to all the new MacBook Pro models that come with the Touch Bar and Touch ID sensor, so unless you don’t mind not having those new features, you’ll have to wait almost a month for your order to arrive, which should be around the 25th of November to the 2nd of December.

It is possible that you can still get your hands on either model in Apple’s Retail Store once they become available, but we can’t guarantee that they won’t be sold out then either, so it’s up to you if you want to take that risk. The base 13-inch model with Touch Bar and Touch ID is retailing for $1,800, while the option with 512GB of SSD storage will set you back $2,000.

The 15-inch models are naturally more expensive at $2,400 for the base 15-inch, and $2,800 for the 15-inch model that comes with 512GB of storage. One of the main differences between the 13-inch and 15-inch is that the latter models come with a discrete AMD Radeon Pro GPU, while the 13-inch models will rely on Intel’s Iris Graphics.
