We heard recently that Microsoft is working on a new Surface-branded keyboard and that it’s going to be released in the near future. It appears that the keyboard is going to be accompanied by a Surface-branded mouse as well. Latest FCC filings made by the company have brought us images of the Microsoft Surface mouse.

Microsoft has a long history of selling peripherals like keyboard and mice so it’s not entirely surprising to see the company develop these products. The only thing that’s different now is that they will be sold under the Surface brand.

The images show a mouse that’s quite similar to the Designer Bluetooth Mouse from Microsoft that’s already available. One major difference here is that this one is painted with the signature Surface gray color. It appears to be a conventional wireless mouse and is not likely to have any outstanding features.

Microsoft is yet to confirm when it’s going to release these new Surface-branded peripherals for PC. Rumor has it that the Surface keyboard and mouse may be released as early as this week. It’s also believed that they will come packaged with the rumored all-in-one Surface PC that’s expected to be launched in the coming months.
