luke-cageOver the weekend, Netflix was down for 2 hours, and the number one suspect is Marvel’s Luke Cage. In case you didn’t know, on the 30th of September, Netflix released their latest Marvel TV series, Luke Cage. This is the third series that they have released so far, following Daredevil and Jessica Jones.

Just like the other series, Luke Cage has been met with favorable reviews, given that Netflix is in full support of binge-watching by uploading the entire season all at once, fans have speculated that perhaps the rush to watch Luke Cage could have been the reason behind Netflix’s downtime.

Netflix did not confirm what the issue was and their tweet read, “Hi all – we are aware of streaming issues and we are working quickly to solve them. We will update you when they are resolved.” However Luke Cage’s Executive Producer Cheo Coker teased that perhaps viewers of the show might have caused it.

The official Luke Cage Twitter account also decided to jump in on the fun and speculation with a series of tweets while waiting for the servers to come back up. In any case whatever the problem was, Netflix has dealt with it and if you’re wondering what all the fuss about Luke Cage is about, why not fire up Netflix and check it out for yourself?
