samsung logo 4Earlier we had heard that Samsung will be compensating their component suppliers for the Note 7. We had also heard that Samsung will be offering customers credit if they were to take their phones in and exchange it for either another Samsung phone or a different brand, but the question is, is that enough to keep customers happy?

We suppose Samsung really wants customers to forget this incident because according to new reports, Samsung is apparently planning a compensation program for its Note 7 customers. Apparently this will be in addition to the credit that they’re giving customers now and it could come in the form of extra discount for future purchases, like the Galaxy S8, for example, which would be a great way to bring customers back into the fold.

It is unclear as to how much discount we’re looking at, but it could be enough for customers to want to return to Samsung products. Last we heard, a whopping 40% of customers surveyed said they won’t be buying another Samsung product again. Samsung has also been hit with class-action lawsuits in the US and recently in Korea as well.

Will this alleged compensation program be good enough for customers to forgive the company? We guess we will just have to wait and see. In the meantime what do you guys think?
