oneplus_3_001The OnePlus 3 was launched earlier this year and if you’re already thinking ahead into the future, we’re guessing that the OnePlus 4 will be the phone’s successor. Details of the OnePlus 4 are pretty scarce at the moment, or at least until a recent post on Weibo revealed some details of the upcoming handset.

According to the post, the OnePlus 4 is rumored to feature a Snapdragon 830 chipset from Qualcomm and could be launched in June or July of 2017. Note that this isn’t exactly coming from a reputable source, but at the same time given that Qualcomm’s next flagship chipset is probably the Snapdragon 830, it wouldn’t be a stretch to think that smartphone makers will want to put it in their phones next year.

Let’s not forget that the OnePlus 3 was launched in June of 2016, meaning that a June/July 2017 launch for the OnePlus 4 makes perfect sense as well, unless OnePlus decides to delay the launch or maybe even launch it earlier. We should note that there are currently rumors floating about regarding a certain OnePlus 3T.

The handset has yet to see a release, although we have to wonder at this stage in the game, could releasing the OnePlus 3T push back the OnePlus 4’s release? In any case for now it’s best taken with a grain of salt, but in the meantime what kind of hardware specs would you love to see the OnePlus 4 pack in 2017?
