The day that many Sony fans had been waiting for has finally arrived. Sony today released its first virtual reality headset called the PlayStation VR. As you would have probably guessed by now, you require a PlayStation 4 to use the headset. Sony’s virtual reality headset has been launched worldwide today and it comes with a great lineup of launch titles.

Sony first showed off the PlayStation VR headset about a year ago. It has been working to improve the product since then and has made a considerable amount of changes. As previously mentioned, it won’t be of any use to you if you don’t have one of the more than 40 million PS4 consoles that Sony has sold so far.

The PlayStation VR headset is accompanied by a list of 30 launch titles which promise an immersive virtual reality experience for those who will start receiving their units today. VR titles include Resident Evil 7, Star Wars Battlefront, Star Trek: Bridge Crew, and more. Sony has said that almost 50 VR games will be available by the end of this year and more will be released in early 2017.

Players don’t require the PlayStation Move controllers for most games, the DualShock 4 controllers will work just as nicely, but the PlayStation Camera is required for the headset to function. The PlayStation VR has been released today, the headset itself costs $399 in the United States.
